After You Submit

What Happens Next.

Here's exactly what the 48-hour scope process looks like from the moment we receive your drawings.

1
We Receive Your Drawings

As soon as your drawings arrive — by email or form submission — they're logged in ACG's project system. You'll receive an acknowledgment confirming receipt and your expected response date. If we need something additional to complete the scope (a missing spec section, structural drawings for a curtainwall scope), we'll ask within the first few hours — not 47 hours later.

2
Takeoff and System Analysis

ACG's estimating team completes a full opening-by-opening takeoff, reviews the specification sections (particularly Division 08), identifies applicable Florida Product Approvals, and evaluates any conflicts between the architectural and structural drawings. If there are drawing conflicts that affect the scope, we document them with specific sheet references so you can issue an RFI or clarification.

3
Scope Letter Delivered Within 48 Hours

You receive a complete scope letter with: quantities broken out by system type, system recommendations for each opening category, Florida Product Approval paths identified, named systems by manufacturer, and an explicit exclusion list. Nothing is buried in boilerplate. If something isn't in our price, we say so plainly and tell you what information we'd need to include it.

4
Questions Answered — Ready for Award

If you have questions about the scope, system selections, or pricing, ACG responds same day. If the project is awarded, we initiate shop drawing production immediately — day one, not week two. See our full 6-step process for what happens after award.

Submission Checklist

What to Send Us.

The more complete the set, the more complete the scope. Here's what ACG needs to produce a detailed, accurate scope letter — and what's optional but helpful.

Don't have a complete set? Send what you have. We can identify system types and rough quantities from partial drawings and flag what we'll need to finalize pricing.

Required for a Complete Scope
  • Architectural drawings — floor plans, elevations, sections, details PDF or DWF preferred. Full set if available.
  • Structural drawings — especially slab edge details and header conditions Required for curtainwall and window wall scopes.
  • Specifications — Division 08 (Openings) Section 08 41 13 (Aluminum Entrances), 08 44 13 (Curtainwall), etc.
  • Window schedule (if provided by architect) Helps cross-reference opening types against plan notes.
  • Addenda issued to date We need to scope against the current design, not the original issue.
Helpful But Not Required
  • Project location and municipality Helps identify wind zone, exposure category, and applicable codes.
  • Bid deadline and project construction schedule Helps us confirm we can meet your bid date and identify potential material lead-time issues early.
  • Owner or architect product preferences If the spec names a manufacturer or system, let us know — we'll verify PA compliance.
  • Budget constraints or value engineering targets If there's a glazing budget, we can identify systems and alternatives within it.
