With the passing of Grandma Dee Roberts this year came an opportunity to ponder the sanctity of life and our own personal relationships with all of you. Rather than grieving as Dee joined her husband in the Eternities above, we have found joy with our family and friends with whom we love deeply. We thank you all for keeping in contact and sharing your lives with us.

Year after year Wendy and I have continue to be blessed. Here are some of the year's highlights:

January – I switched my college studies from Music Education at BYU to accounting at UVSC where I still maintain a high GPA.

February – My immediate manager left the company, leaving a gap open that would never be filled. I now work directly under the VP of Operations and in turn also increased my income by 50%.

March – I was asked to coach our company softball team for the 2006 season. I haven’t done so since high school, yet I coached every game and put myself in two of those games and accomplished a perfect batting average. We came in 2nd this season.

April – Wendy and I visited Minnesota to attend the services for Grandma Dee. We were able to see all of the Roberts cousins we love so dearly and Wendy was able to experience the Mall of America for the first time.

May – The management of our home community passed from the builders to the home owners. We formed a Home Owner’s Association and I was voted in as the first president. We have accomplished so much this year I marvel as I look back at it all.

June – We found that Wendy had a cyst the size of a grapefruit and another smaller one on both of her fallopian tubes and so we had them removed through laparoscopic surgery. We still have pictures if anyone wishes to see them. The following week as Wendy’s brother Nate visited, we went on an hour & a half hike (each way) to the Mount Timpanogos Caves which proved that Wendy was recuperating well.

July – For a family reunion we enjoyed an Alaskan cruise through Royal Caribbean with my family on my mom’s side. My favorite part was how at any given time there were live musicians performing somewhere on the boat. Wendy’s favorite part was watching the beautiful glaciers as they fell into the water in the summer warmth. We also celebrated our 3rd wedding anniversary later in the month.

August – Wendy’s summer vacation of poolside reading and household projects ended and she returned to her third year of teaching.  Her 1st graders are absolutely adorable, smart and funny. Wendy just loves them.

September – After serving together in our church as Sunday School teachers for the youth (combined 12 - 18 yr old), Wendy was called to be the 1st Counselor to the Relief Society President and I continued on as the Membership Clerk as our Branch prepared to turn into a Ward.

October – Wendy was picked to attend a National Math Conference in Arizona and to return and report to her fellow teachers. I missed her for those 3 days but she had a blast. For Halloween Wendy and her fellow 1st grade teachers dressed up as the 4 seasons. Wendy was all frosted up as "Winter."

November – My Sister Josie and her family visited us in Utah for Thanksgiving. We had a great feast and played games together. My nephew Nicky and I were able to get some good video game fighting rounds in together while Wendy and Josie stayed up talking into the night.

December – Every Friday this month we had Christmas parties to attend ending on the 22nd where Wendy and I invited friends over for an evening of snacks and chatting at our home. While Wendy has Christmas break from school I have 3 days off from work on the week of Christmas. The vacation days will hopefully be spent doing as little as possible although Wendy always seems to find projects for us to do... like painting our bedroom.

Merry Christmas to everyone! We hope you all had a wonderful 2006 and we look forward to seeing you in 2007.

With Love,

Aaron & Wendy Glass
